Holland Village holds a very special place in my heart as it was the place of my growing up years from the time I was born.
Holland Village was indeed a “kampong” (village). My home at Lorong Liput, a cul-de-sac, was a communal-style zinc rooftop house with 10 families sharing a kitchen, water point, bathroom and bucket-style toilet. It was a close-knitted community.
Growing up in Holland Village, I have some of my most beautiful childhood moments forever etched in my memories.
Unfortunately for our community, our home had to be demolished to make way for a new HDB development in the 1970s.
Over the past many decades, I have witnessed with my own eyes the drastic transformation of Holland V and its neighbourhood.
In 2005, I entered the real estate industry after spending 23 years as a church pastor. Naturally, Holland Village was my launching pad.
Over the years, I have served a great clientele base of Holland property residents and investors, many of whom have become my personal friends in the process. What is most heart-warming is re-establishing contacts with some of my old neighbours.
I was featured on The Straits Times sharing my knowledge of the micro property trends and insights of Holland properties.
Today, I truly enjoy introducing and showing people homes in this area as I can enhance their home seeking experience by peppering some personal stories along the way.
I look forward to hearing from you, both property owners and home-seekers. With my intimate knowledge of Holland Village, you can count on my service with a special touch.
